Crumbed Fish Cakes

Enjoy the flavour of these snap-frozen Fish Cakes coated in a crispy golden crumb.


1. Serve in a stack on top of a crisp salad. Drizzle with thousand island dressing and garnish with diced tomatoes and finely chopped parsley.
2. Serve in a stack on top of mashed potato. Melt a little butter with capers and chopped parsley. Pour over to garnish.

COOKING INSTRUCTIONS

Use straight from the freezer - DO NOT THAW.
Shallow Fry: Preheat 5mm of vegetable oil to medium heat. Fry in a covered pan for 4 minutes each side until golden brown.

Deep Fry: Preheat vegetable oil to 180°C. Fry for 5 minutes until golden brown.

Oven Bake: Preheat oven and dish or tray to 230°C. Bake for 7 minutes each side until golden brown.

Grill: Preheat grill and rack. Grill on high for 4 minutes each side until golden brown. Turn several times.

Dry Fry: Preheat a non-stick pan to a medium heat. No oil or fat is required. Fry in a covered pan for 5 minutes each side until golden brown.

 

Note: Shallow Fry or Deep Fry is recommended for best results.
